The wine: Marquis de Goulain 2003

My Review:

Pale straw colour, clean light and fresh taste. You could tell it is a Chardonnay, but one with little or possibly no oak; had a good fruit flavour.

A good wine and excellent value.

About the Chateau.

The chateau and vineyards are on the very western edge of the Loire wine growing region, just south of Nantes. The family is one of the oldest wine producing families of the Loire and one of the few remaining Loire chateau still to have it's own vineyards.
