The Flichman family began producing fine wines on their Estate in Maipu, Mendoza in 1910, and the quality of their wines came to be renowned throughout Argentina.
The celebrated Portuguese vitivinicultural group, Sogrape, purchased the winery in 1998, and immediately began a rolling programme of modernisation and expansion. Their aim of strengthening Flichman's leadership in the production of high quality wines has been realised, and the wines from this enterprising winery are clean and modern, with a definite Argentine character.
The original winery, surrounded by its vineyards, stands at the very foot of the Andes. Preserved, restored and enlarged by their proprietors, it has been endowed with the very finest and most advanced wine-making technology: stainless steel, double-cased fermentation tanks which permit automatic temperature control for cold fermentation, plus small French and American oak casks

The wines of Finca Flichman clearly mark a step in the evolution of fine wines from the New World. Many of the wines have received the very highest praise from some of the most demanding critics and have been awarded in some of the most important international competitions.
